We're having our ceremony close to home to accommodate my mother, who can't travel far. Our reception venue is 1 hour away and we'll need to arrive around 6:30-7pm for the reception. We have a photo shoot for about 2 hours prior to the reception. What time should our ceremony ideally start?

Planning the logistics of your wedding day can be a tricky undertaking and you should always factor in some contingency time, if things don’t go according to plan. Given your time frames, I would recommend a 2pm start. This will allow 1 hour for the ceremony and for your family and friends to congratulate you, time to get to your photo shoot and then to the reception. I'm more than happy to offer further advice and details, should you need them. I hope you have a wonderful day!
